Hours spent formatting flashcards, searching for audio, adding pinyin... Time you could spend actually learning.
One app for dictionary, another for flashcards, another for listening... Nothing connects. Your progress is scattered everywhere.
11,000+ words to learn. Where to start? What to prioritize? Without guidance, you study randomly and forget faster.
You learn isolated words but can't build meaningful sentences. Context and real practice are missing.
You forget tones even when you know the word. And similar sounds (shi/xi, z/zh) keep tripping you up.
You study but nothing seems to improve. No visible proof of progress. Your motivation slowly fades away.
A complete system where everything is connected
Already learned some Chinese? Add those words to your SRS. The system adapts to YOUR level, not the other way around.
Based on your vocabulary, we recommend readings and interactive sentences at YOUR level. Always know what to study next.

The SRS calculates exactly when you're about to forget. Daily reviews + Cram mode for exam prep or weak points.

I love using EnglishSRS as a tool to practice Mandarin. ✨ What I like most is the fill-in-the-blank exercise, as it helps me focus on using the language and try to remember which word is correct for the sentence shown. Another thing I reallyyyy like is the tone practice mode. I find it quite fun how it presents each character and lets you choose the correct tone, then listen to the audio. Speaking of the team, since its launch, they have been responsive and take user feedback seriously. They consider and implement features 💜 and fixes that are really useful for students.

I've been using EnglishSRS for a few days now, it really helps me to memorize the words from hsk 1 since i'm currently in a transition between hsk 1 to hsk 2. I really want to ace my basic vocabularies from hsk 1 before continuing, that's where the features in EnglishSRS helped. They have everything you need to study Chinese language, features to memorize each tones, reading and interactive sentences with various topics, vocabulary collections that are categorized, also some writing tools. The fun part is, there's a tracker and levels that are motivating.

I really like the interface, it's easy to navigate and keep track of my progress. The way it uses the SRS system matches my learning style very well. I also really like the graded readers and interactive sentences features. They help me find reading materials that are at my level—not too easy and not too hard. I can also easily add new words to my SRS as I come across them. So far, I've really enjoyed using EnglishSRS and would gladly recommend it to my friends!

I've been using EnglishSRS for learning Mandarin, and my favorite feature so far is the graded reading. It makes practicing much easier because the texts are matched to your level, so you can actually read and understand instead of guessing all the time. I also really like that I can save new vocabulary and review it later. This feature helps reinforce the words I've learned, so studying feels more effective and organized. Another thing I like is how complete the features are. You can take notes, check the stroke order of characters, and use audio to practice tones and pronunciation. Before this, I used several different websites to study Mandarin, but EnglishSRS basically compiles many of those tools in one place. Because of that, I only need to use one website for most of my learning, which makes everything much more convenient.

I really like EnglishSRS. Lots of useful features in one website making EnglishSRS powerful. I especially like the graded reader feature and the SRS feature. Find unknown words during your reading? You can just add those words right away to your SRS deck making everything so seamless.

EnglishSRS really surprised me not only by its quality but also its quantity. The site allows you not only to find resources but also to practice, which makes it interesting and complete. I've already recommended it to someone and I will recommend it again.

I've tried so many language apps but none have made me stay quite like EnglishSRS. The platform is built around spaced repetition flashcards, which sounds simple, but the way it's implemented genuinely changes how vocab sticks to my brain. It covers HSK level 1 to the upper levels, so there's always a clear sense of where I am and where I'm headed. The feature I keep coming back to: the graded readers. They're short texts, and any new words I encounter link straight back to my SRS queue, so the loop between reading and reviewing is seamless. It's the closest thing I've found to how language acquisition is actually supposed to work, for me.

Honestly, I'm so glad I discovered EnglishSRS. 😄 I've tried quite a few apps for learning Chinese, but this is the first time I really feel like I'm making real progress. What I love most is the graded readings and interactive sentences, as soon as I see a word I don't know, I add it straight to my SRS. It makes learning simple and always at my level. The spaced repetition system is really well designed too, it genuinely helps me retain vocabulary without feeling like I'm cramming. And the tone training mode is both useful and fun, which is pretty rare. 😅 Honestly, their method and tools have simplified my life because everything is in one place. Before, I was juggling between multiple apps, now I use almost nothing else. So if you're learning Mandarin and looking for a tool where you'll learn without ever getting lost and that's pleasant to use, I really recommend it!

As you master words, new sentences containing those words rise to the top. You always know what to learn next because the system tracks your progress across everything.
The classic 6-level system still used by many schools and exams.
The new 9-level system (since 2021) with 7 bands. Band 7 = HSK 7-8-9.
HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi) is the official Mandarin Chinese proficiency test recognized worldwide. Why take it? It's often required to study at a Chinese university (HSK 4-5 minimum), get a work visa in China, or boost your resume for international companies. In 2021, China introduced HSK 3.0 with 9 levels. EnglishSRS supports both systems (old and new).
